We are delighted to share our annual report, looking back at our work in 2023, when we saw a huge increase in and sustained demand for our service. The report describes how we grew our volunteer community to meet this demand, and launched a new way of measuring the impact of this work, with feedback directly from service users.
We are now supporting people across 70% of the prisons in England and Wales, and have seen application numbers continue to rise in 2024.

Can you help us to continue supporting the people who need us most? People like John who told us "my befriender is very warm and supporting. She gives me great encouragement and the belief things will get better. I’d be lost or worse off without her" or Simon who says of his befriender "How can such genuine care not make one feel better about themselves? I am without doubt, improved by him and by New Bridge"?
I hope you find the report interesting.
